World Tournament Rules
Pre-registration only tournament
Registrations must be received before June 12th
2011.
Spectators $8.00 before June 12th 2011. Spectators will
be $10.00 the day of the event. Children under 3 are free.
RULES: Are there for everyone! All competitors are required to act
with positive sportsmanship.
Any non-sportsman like conduct will result in disqualification.
Decisions of the tournament officials are final.
Personal Attire
Only clean, white Gi will be allowed.
All Yudansha are required to wear ONLY WHITE GI & BLACK
BELTS. (No red or
red/white belts will be permitted.)
No jewelry will be permitted on any competitor.
Kata/Weapons
No late entries to a division
will be permitted after division bow in.
Empty Hand Katas permitted: H-pattern, Seisan, Seiuchin, Wansu, Chinto, Naihanchi, Kusanku, Sunsu, Sanchin
Weapon Katas permitted: Kiyan no Sai, Kusanku Sai, Chatanyara no Sai,
Tokomino no Kun, Urashi Bo, Shishi no Kun no dai,
Hamahiga, Chie fa (Black Belts
Only)
First 3 competitors up before scoring. Scoring in these ranges: lower belts 5 to 7 , intermediate 6 to 8 , Advanced and Black 7 to 9. With 5 judges; high and low score will be discarded for final score. In the event of a tie: add in the remaining low score – if necessary remaining high score will be added. If tie remains an additional kata/form will be performed and a show of hands by an odd # of Judges will determine winner.
PLEASE NOTE: Advanced and Black Belts will be required to perform a different kata/form
when required to break a tie.

required to perform Sunsu Kata for Grand Champion hand kata
divisions

Kumite / Sparring Grand
Champion division will be 2 minutes - 5 points.

Sportsmanship
NO Sideline Coaching, Sideline coaching will result in a warning followed by points awarded to the opponent or disqualification. Other un-sportsman like acts will also result in the same point reductions or disqualification.
